The side disk, or CD protector, is one of the main components of steel coil packaging. Made in disc form, it protects the sides of the steel roll so the coil edges are not damaged.
Ara Polymer Nikan now produces these disks in polymer, which makes them far lighter and easier to handle than steel protectors, and because they absorb no moisture they have become a replacement for metal covers.
Side disks are made in various diameters and thicknesses to suit the customer, but 2 mm is the usual thickness. Custom printing with your logo and text is available on request.
Ara Polymer Nikan produces side disks for coil packing. These side protective disks are made of polyethylene sheets with a thickness of 2 mm. They can be die cut in the shape of rings and used as separators or protective covering for steel coils and sheets.
We manufacture and print coil side disks in disc shapes and in a range of sizes.
